Vivien’s passion for yoga came about unexpectedly in 2010, when she stepped away from her lawyer’s office and onto the mat. Since completing her 200-hour vinyasa teacher training in 2013 and subsequent trainings with Bryan Kest and Kino MacGregor, as well as trainings in alignment and assisting with teachers such as Dice Iida-Klein, she has had the joy of sharing and teaching what she loves. Vivien’s classes explore the intersection of asana, pranayama, flow, empathy and vulnerability in order to uncover the possibilities within the body and the self. She aims to create an organic and positive space where students can feel empowered to embrace deeper and more nuanced challenges within the body and the mind, and understand themselves more holistically whether on a journey to headstand or child’s pose. In her classes, you’ll experience creative yet approachable sequencing and cuing that reflects her belief that, through your practice, you can truly connect, uncover and heal.
