Afternoon practice: Hands on Adjustments
Adjust your students with confidence and optimize their experience in the poses by refining your touch skills. Learn how to better read and assess body language using the basic techniques of applying safe and practical hands-on adjustments as well as verbal and energetic adjustments. By focusing on how the poses work on different body types and you will explore several asanas in partner work. Learning how to assist and support others improves your own practice in the process.
Day 2: Saturday March 10th: From Injury to Health
Morning Practice: Injury Management and Healing the lower back with yoga
Understanding injuries is a crucial part of being a yoga teacher these days. Most people that come to yoga usually have some type of injury they are working with. We will review common injuries and the anatomy involved with those injuries to help to build a healthy sequence strengthening the muscles around the surrounding area. We will learn how to guide students in the healing of their lower back through yoga postures that build strength in their legs and core to support their sacrum. Hip openers and breath awareness adds to the healing by pacifying the lower back to be free of lower back pain and gain the tools to stay there.
Afternoon practice: Unlocking the tension in the neck and shoulders
The neck and shoulder area is usually the first part of our bodies to lock up when we are stressed. We will learn poses that help release tension around the neck and shoulders. When done correctly, these postures can unlock deep tension and bring balance in the entire body. Find out how to use your shoulder girdle in poses to protect your neck and learn poses to untangle tension around this area.
Day 3: Sunday March 11th: Inversions and Advanced Asanas
Morning practice: Inversions and Arm Balances
Learn tips and tricks to open your wings and get your body off the ground. Arm balances teach us to take chances and face our fear of falling. Learn what makes up an advanced practitioner and how to make advanced postures accessible. For everyone
Afternoon practice: Authenticity and Self Care workshop
Afternoon practice: Authencity and Self Care workshop
As a healer we are giving energy out continually. We need to keep one eye on our clients and
