Are you often intimidated by backbends? Do you struggle in backbends because of fear to injure yourself? Or are you trying to make progress in your practice?
Take a deep dive into backbending in this 2-hour workshop with Melody. Through different ways to create greater mobility of shoulders, hips and spine, as well as better strength of back and leg muscles, she will guide you through the challenges in backbends and help you gain tools to feel safe and progress in your practice.
In the workshop, you will learn:
– Benefits and anatomy of backbends
– Drills to improve mobility and to strengthen muscles we often neglect in backbends
– Breakdown, progressions and variations of poses such as Upward Bow (Wheel), King Pigeon and Chin Stand
– Techniques to flip the grip and to drop back
