One of the original flow pioneers of our time; Master Wong, known more commonly to his communities as Duncan sensei, will be sharing his teachings at The Yoga Room this November! His innovative mastery of hand and feet mudras from yoga, dance and martial arts provides a practice platform that immediately enhances our ability to locate and release blocked tension and energy in our body and source our innate physical strength and mental power. Through his intuitive teaching style, this process becomes an intrinsic part of our movement and a vital tool to reconnecting to our inner sense of direction to self-empowerment and a feeling of purpose in our practice.
This exclusive weekend debut at The Yoga Room will be divided into two categories to address the needs of the whole community.

FIRST SESSION OF THE DAY: A basic approach to flow asana and alignment for newer students to learn a flow foundation and more advanced practitioners to learn new smart ways to teach this technical flow teaching methods. As Master Wong always says, ‘How we learn is how we teach.’
You can expect a wonderful informative and satisfying practice.
SECOND SESSION OF THE DAY: A stronger practice for students with at least a year of flow or an athletic background under their belt and in their system. Emphasis will be placed on arm balancing techniques and ways to both align with personal physical power dynamics and a hands-on adjustment approach to proper assist mechanics. To achieve this in a group environment we will need to allow time for flow experience and observation time for both master and partner demonstrations.
All with basic athletic ability are most welcome to attend all sessions.

(Wave motion and counter movement muscle dynamics)

SESSION 2 SAT, 24TH NOV 4:30-6:30PM: INTERMEDIATE ‘X’ CORE ARM BALANCE MECHANICS
(Handstand variations in a vinyasa flow with elements of partner work)
Increase your inner strength at a deep level to express your full pose and flow potential with important advanced foundation arm balance poses. This class may include elements of partner assist work.
SESSION 3 SUN, 25TH NOV 2-4PM: BASIC MUDRA HAND POSE STRUCTURES
(Explore the powerful & practice of hand mudra flow structures)
Discover how hand base poses activate awareness of inner body strength & flow alignment.
Great for both students and teachers to learn a powerful way to practice and teach.
SESSION 4 SUN, 25TH NOV 4:30-6:30PM: INTERMEDIATE BACK BEND MUDRA PLAY
(Find out how base pose mudras serve a powerful purpose)
Utilize hand based power pose flow & partner assists with a focus on backbends to release deep-rooted upper back tension and open the shoulders.
