Foundations to Backbends: Backbends 101 Workshop with Katharina

This is a beginners friendly backbending workshop designed towards not only deepening your backbend journey, but deepening your knowledge of the spine in order to guide you confidently into your backbend journey.

Price: HKD450 per workshop; HKD800 for both Foundations to Backbends + Headstand Fundamentals
This workshop will take on an alignment-based approach with a hint of anatomy. We first begin by covering the basic anatomy of the spine – bringing awareness to important areas in the spine that we all should be familiar when it comes to movement and body. In preparation for backbending, we will condition the body by strengthening and stabilising the spine for students to experience fundamental backbending principles in their own bodies through various asanas. Thereafter, the progressive backbending practice will begin, exploring all options: supported, modified, and full backbend inversion.
This workshop holds a safe space to learn and explore your backbends with confidence and with modifications. It is both beginner and intermediate friendly!

Katharina’s style of practice takes on an alignment-based, dynamic, intelligent, instructural approach to a Vinyasa style practice.
