Learn Forearm Stand Introductory Workshop with Katharina

An introductory workshop to Forearm balance that dives into the foundation of this challenging, yet playful arm balance. In this 2 hour introductory workshop, we will explore deeper into the preparation, technique, and alignment of Pincha Mayurasana.
This class will begin with a 30 minute Vinyasa flow to open up and build strength in particular areas of the body that are essential in Forearm Stand: core, shoulders, upper back. We will spend some time to condition these areas to bring awareness to muscle engagement – a key to upholding any future arm balances!
Thereafter, the play begins as we explore both supported and (if comfortable) non-supported variations of forearm stand through individual and partner work. This workshop takes an introductory approach to Forearm Stand, suitable for beginners and all level practitioners looking to strengthen their alignment.
- Regular Hatha/Vinyasa/Ashtanga practice
- No arm balance experience required
- Eager to learn and have fun!
