Together, we can go far: Month-long applied mindfulness program during the time of crisis with Janet Lau

Date: May 16th, May 23rd, May 30th, Jun 6th 2020

Time: 2pm to 515pm (4 consecutive Saturdays)

Venue: The Yoga Room 3/F studio or Online via Zoom.

This is the time we are asked to stay home, while some of us may end up trying to juggle between baby-sitting, preparing meals for four and conference calls. Others may be having a difficult time with family members, while others maybe facing the possibility of losing their jobs. This is the time, more than ever, that we need to be grounded within ourselves to prevent ourselves from bombarded by the collective fear, anxiety, guilt and other emotions.

You are not alone. As Thich Nhat Han mentioned, “Alone, you can go fast, but together, we can go far.” This statement is even more true now.

Mindfulness is the ability to see things for what it is, when balanced by the wisdom of discernment, we are able to stay anchored in ourselves even when times are tough. In this month-long program, Janet will be sharing with you ways to strengthen your seed of mindfulness in your everyday life, so that you can transition the time with less resistance and stress, and turning the challenge into opportunity for personal growth and self love.

For the first two weeks, Janet will cover some foundations of mindfulness practice, to help you develop a regular practice at home, and then for the last two weeks, together we look into your personal challenges and find tools to work with them and hopefully to transcend them.

16:00 – 17:15 Mindfulness Yoga & Seated Meditation
