This well sought out workshops delivers the fundamentals of core stability, transference of force from core to extremeties and contralateral patterns that are found in breathing and walking.

During your yoga practice you will be able to match breath and core stability which will show how much range of movement and strength each individual actually has. Our findings are then applied to our yoga practice to create a unique method of self-practice that is suitable for our own backs.

For example, unstable hips cause lack of support in the lower back, in a classical yoga practice we do everything both left and right. These techniques will show what aides we as an individual need to do in order to feel more stability in the lower back.

By correcting these imbalances we are able to walk more efficiently. Seeing that breathing and walking are most of our primary activities, when we correct compensation patterns in these movements, we lower the risk of bringing those compensation patterns into our yoga practice (and anything else).

By spending the initial stages of the practice addressing these imbalances, it is easier to rid ourselves from pain and gain more strength and flexibility.

The afternoon session is a play-shop applying techniques of neuromuscular activation and myofascial release to bring more balance to the Sacro-Iliac Joint.

From learning how to press up onto our hands and then onto all fours, we have not needed to learn how to stabilize the shoulder joint since a very young age.

The shoulder joint is probably one of the most unstable joints in the body because we have sacrificed stability in order to have more mobility. Although we can do many wonderful things with our shoulders, arms and hands, we lack the stability in this joint which hinders many spectrums of rotational and reaching patterns.

This workshop is all about learning how to deeply sense what is going on in your own shoulders and spending time applying the correct shoulder exercises into your yoga practice. Do not be surprised leaving knowing that not only does each shoulder need something different from the other, but also that you know how to apply it!

This is a wonderful workshop for those who are also keen to understand the next stages of progression for arm balances and inversions.

The afternoon play-shop teaches enthusiasts how to apply to techniques to students, clients, patients, friends and family. You will be diving much deeper into the realms of yoga therapy.
