Yan is a Certified Forrest Yoga Teacher, passionate to share her knowledge, experience and practice of Forrest Yoga with everyone, especially those living a busy modern life. Formerly being a HR professional in Financial Service Industry herself, Yan believes that we can transform a stressful lifestyle into an energetic and balanced one by raising awareness of breaths and establish connection between our body and mind.
Yan’sclasses focus on using deep breaths throughout the practice to build up body strength as well as to improve flexibility; through intelligent Forrest Yoga sequencing and unique hands-on-assist techniques, she guides students at all levels to practice safely and to experience the healing power of Forrest Yoga while having FUN!
She completed the Forrest Yoga Foundation Teacher Training with Ana T. Forrest in 2013, then continued her education with her mentor, Forrest Yoga Guardian - SinHee Ye. During the 2015 Asia Yoga Conference, Yan assisted Ana T. Forrest in all her Forrest Yoga classes as well as translating for Ana from English to Mandarin. To continue improving her teaching and deepen her own practice, in December 2015, Yan successfully completed 9-day full time Advanced Forrest Yoga Teacher Training with Ana T. Forrest in Hong Kong.Yan speaks fluent English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Dutch.
