“Fascia is our richest sense organ” - Robert Schleip, PhD, MA.
Movingness is a practice of slow movements to hydrate, relax and activate the fascial network. When we move in a certain way the movements connect us with the richest sense organ in the body. When we feel what is going on in the body, we can work with the fascia and breathing in a very relaxed and natural way.
With 250 million nerve endings the fascial network provides our bodies with more sensory feedback than our eyes and skin. It has sensory receptors for pain, pleasure, temperature & movement and by stretching, touching, or moving we can stimulate the sensory receptors. The fascial network therefore plays a key role in developing capacity for interoception & proprioception. It is an integrated system with almost immediate reaction and communication.
Stress over an extended time can cause a tightening & shortening of our fascia, a loss of fluidity and a drying out of the tissues. Our bodies stiffen and tighten and we lose our capacity to receive sensory information. We start to lose a sense of our own aliveness.
A daily practice of gentle movement with lots of variations and small pauses for integration, spreads the water all over the body and allows us to feel more connected to ourselves, more loose and limber in our body, more coordinated, balanced and alive.
In this workshop you will learn
1. About the fascial network - the what’s, the where’s and the how’s
2. Ways to connect to the fascial network, to experience yourself from the inside out and to tune into the signals of the body
3. A series of movements designed to release tension and bring balance to the body

Charlotte is an experienced yoga therapist; certified by the IAYT, and trained by the Wisdom Institute of Yoga who offer trauma informed, evidence based yoga therapy programmes.
Charlotte is originally from the UK but has lived in Hong Kong with her family for 13 years. She believes passionately that the practice of yoga is not just about physical well-being, but rather a much more holistic wellness approach. It’s about finding a sense of ease within the body. She offers a truly collaborative approach that is not bound to any one system or method of yoga. Instead, Charlotte brings together a unique combination of postural yoga, breath-work, somatics, meditation and mindfulness.
Charlotte believes that a practice of mindfulness is integral to developing a capacity to be aware of our internal state and therefore our ability to chose what to focus on. These tools range from simple and easy to do developmental movements to complex mobility tasks as a way to ‘wake up’ the brain without strain or injury. When incorporated into our lives, mindful movement can help us to build the tools and resources for greater levels of resilience.
